Respect For Human Rights

We have established a human rights policy for the Murakami Group, and we are promoting priority efforts in the following areas.

Human Resource Management

Basic Approach

We recognize that a pleasant working environment and workplace are key foundations of management, and we will bolster our various programs, and ensure the creation of an environment where those programs are accessible and easy to use.

Available Programs

Programs for childcare

  • Time off before and after childbirth (6 weeks before childbirth (14 weeks in case of a multiple pregnancy) to 8 weeks after childbirth)
  • Childcare leave (Until child reaches 1 year old. Can be extended to 2 years old if admission to daycare, etc. has not been decided)
  • Childcare leave at birth (time off for fathers after childbirth) (up to 8 weeks after childbirth)
  • Shorter working hours before childbirth and during childcare (daily required working hours can be shortened to 6 hours during pregnancy, or until child finishes 3rd year of elementary school)
  • Time off for sick/injured childcare (up to 5 days a year for one child in elementary school, and up 10 days a year for two children or more)
  • Limits on overtime work due to childcare (until child finishes 3rd year of elementary school)
  • Childbirth time off for spouse (up to 3 days in the period from date spouse enters hospital for childbirth until the date 2 weeks after the day of childbirth)
  • Shifting of hours (working hours can be shifted up to 1.5 hours per day)

Programs for family care

  • Family care leave (up to 93 days for 1 applicable family member in a condition requiring care)
  • Time off for family care (up to 5 days a year for one family member in a condition requiring care, and up to 10 days a year for two or more family members)
  • Shorter working hours for family care (daily required working hours can be shortened to 6 hours per day for up to 3 years)
  • Shifting of hours (working hours can be shifted up to 1.5 hours per day)

Vacation programs

  • Day for simultaneously taking paid vacation (planned annual vacation of 5 days per year)
  • Program for providing annual paid vacation in half-day units
  • Establishment of number of annual holidays (120 days per year in 2023)

Promoting Active Participation Of Women

We have established a council to promote active participation of women in the workplace, and worked to improve programs and develop an environment where those programs are easy to use. We are working to improve our female executive rate and female manager rate as urgent issues.

We are working to promote diversity as part of our management strategy, and striving to foster an organizational culture which takes account of factors like sex, race, nationality, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, faith, values, etc.

Occupational Safety and Health

In the Murakami Group, we abide by all laws and regulations relating to safety and health, and we are creating pleasant workplaces where it is easy to work by taking various measures to ensure the physical and psychological health of all employees.

Quality Management

ISO Quality Management

Basic Concept

Our company provides photo emulsions and capillary films screen stencils and stencil manufacturing for the screen printing used in the manufacturing processes of our customers. Our company’s foremost responsibility to our customers is to stably provide high-quality products, and to achieve that we have established our own quality policy, and we are continually working to strengthen our quality management system through close collaboration of all departments involved with quality, such as development, manufacturing, sales, and management.

Quality Policy

  • We shall respond to customer and market needs through planning, R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service for the three mainstays of our business: screen stencils, photo emulsions and capillary films, and screen printing materials and equipment.
  • We shall ensure quality from the customer’s standpoint by continually improving quality of all processes for providing products.
  • With our quality management system as a basis, we shall consistently and effectively execute the PDCA cycle, and thereby prevent the occurrence and recurrence of problems.

*Numerical goals are set in each department in accordance with the above quality policy.

Quality Management System

For our primary business activities—manufacturing photo emulsions and capillary films and screen stencils for supply to customers, and procuring and selling screen printing materials and equipment—we have acquired certification according to ISO 9001, an international standard for quality control, and we have developed a quality management system based on that standard.
After our first registration in October 2000, we expanded the applicable scope and offices, and acquired certifications for all our offices in Japan.
