- Medium and Long-Term Management Plan:
“Murakami Vision 2030”
Introduction
The primary products developed, manufactured, and sold by the Murakami Group are photo emulsions and capillary films for screen printing and screen stencils. These products are produced in factories inside and outside Japan, and supplied to customers engaged in the screen printing business all over the world. Going forward, we will continue to pursue the possibilities of screen printing, and while planning expansion of that business, we will actively tackle the challenge of developing new applications, like neutral-water-developed photosensitive materials.
Basic Approach
Our medium and long-term management plan, Murakami Vision 2030, was developed by first predicting the market environment our group will operate in as we move toward 2030 and beyond. We then clarified the form our group should take and what we should do under those conditions, and formulated a plan by backcasting.

Business Strategy
Murakami’s Business Strategy
Developing New Products and Building Our Business
Development of AQUALITHO
(neutral-water-developed photosensitive material)
and pioneering new businessWe will further broaden the scope of our business by developing neutral-water-developed and non-VOC photopolymers, and products for applications other than screen printing.Development of new screen stencil products
to support electronic component manufacturersWe will evermore contribute to the manufacturing of finest patterned electronic components by developing screen stencils with improved durability and resolution, superior to screen stencils that use conventional photo emulsions and capillary films as their raw material.Business providing new photo emulsions and capillary films
and related equipment to electronic component manufacturersWe will strive to grow our business by providing new photo emulsion and capillary film products and related equipment, developed by our group, to electronic component manufacturers who produce screen stencils in-house.New development of plated screen stencil
Through unprecedented new approaches to plating, we will provide new products for manufacturing more finely patterned electronic components.Suggestion-based sales of material processing
and expanded sales of various patterning technologiesWith the cooperation of equipment processing manufacturers throughout Japan, we will help improve customer productivity by providing new products to electronic component manufacturers, and various other manufacturing industries (factories).
Global Business Strategy
Expanding our share of the photo emulsion
and capillary film business inside and outside JapanIn the global photo emulsion and capillary film business, we will expand our global market share and business through active business tie-ups, collaborations, and other partnerships.Global expansion in the field of solar cell screen making stencil
Through technical innovation in solar cell screen making stencils, we will make a group-wide effort to support this field which is growing on a global scale.Developing a model for sales of screen stencil equipment
We will plan expansion of equipment sales as a third business after photo emulsions and capillary films and screen stencils. This will foster collaboration between material sales and equipment sales, and help us develop new business models.Development of new rotary emulsions
and expansion of sales channelsIn the overseas textile market, we will strive for the top market share by developing and providing photo emulsions and capillary films with outstanding resolution.
Realizing Smart Factories
Realizing smart factories
We will put effort into realizing smart factories by working to improve quality, reduce costs, improve productivity, and implement automation.
Business Objective
“Murakami Vision 2030” does not plan for the future by simply extending in a straight line from the present. The plan has been prepared with a focus on creating the business environment of the future, and clarifying the role our group will play and the technology that will be needed by the market, in that environment. To cope with markets that will continue to change at a dizzying pace, our group will work as a team—never allowing our plan to become rigid and inflexible, changing our plan when appropriate to adapt to environmental changes, and developing a stronger corporate structure.
